Coat-of-Arms
This my be one of my favorite shots of the city. The triple X symbol is seen throughout Amsterdam and is recognized as its coat of arms. Surprisingly, it has nothing to do with the seedy side of town...
"The three St. Andrew’s Crosses in white on a black stripe on a red background. On the flag they appear horizontally, but most other places they appear vertically. St. Andrew was a fisherman who lived in the 1st Century AD and was said to have been crucified on an X-shaped cross. The Amsterdam XXX symbol dates back to the year 1505 when the city was a fisherman’s town, so the coat of arms was established as the symbol for the city itself and it also flew as a flag on all ships registered in Amsterdam."

Caught these on one of those touristy canal tours. Come to find out, that's one of the best ways to view the city. Amsterdam is drop dead gorgeous at sunset!

Tatiana, 36 weeks (June 2010)
Tatiana was 36 weeks pregnant here, but it wasn't long after the maternity photo shoot that her second child, Ilian, was born. Congratualtions to the whole family! I can't wait to meet your new addition!

Ollie and the Baby (Mar 2010)
At 2 years old, Oliver speaks in full, well articulated sentences and loves to read with his mommy. He will be such an amazing big brother!
Winter in Amsterdam (Feb 2010)
Amsterdam is such an amazing city to photograph. Every canal and every alley offer something interesting to catch the eye. A thick fog in February adds a serene and smoky feel to the scenery.

Kim at 26 Weeks (Mar 2010)
Kim sat for some maternity photos in March, and is now just a few weeks from the big day! I can't wait to meet Kim and Gus' second child soon. I'm betting on a girl this time, and I'm sure she will be just as gorgeous as her mother!
